Hi Folks
I did my first podcast last night, was fairly simple, added the tracking music and my audio with no problems, I even managed to splice pieces together, the one and only thing I didn't manage to do was change the pitch of my voice, what ever I did, well I just didn't like any of it. I either sounded like Orson Wells or an all in westler woman, so stuck with my boring mono tones.
Please have a listen and tell me what you thought whilst listening.
I have placed my podcast on the 'box' on the right hand side of this page, I really like this box as you can listen live without downloading the mp3, and it was very easy to place on the podcast site.
See you all in class Wednesday

Well Paul - I am extremely impressed. I thought it was clear, well paced and I didn't think there was anything wrong with your voice. it was just you!
I know what you mean though - I feel like that whenever I hear myself on tape, I feel really embarassed. I'm surprised you got through it without laughing. How many times did you record it?
The only small thing I could pick up was the fact that you seemed to be a little too close to the microphone on occasions, causing a little blow back if that's the right word. Other than that I thought it was humourous and interesting, with no annoying mannerisms. Nice and easy to listen to.
Also a great way to comment on the video's rather than having to write reams!
I agree with your comments about the first video - I couldn't make much sense of it and I'm afraid I just got bored less than half way through. However I will try again. Not listened to the second one yet.
See you on Wednesday and again well done.

Paul - apologies my comments regarding the video was about the IMPALA Breeze Presentation, not the Web 2.0 Welsh man.
I agree I don't know what PLE's are but I can understand the rest of what he's talking about - must be all those weekends in Wales, lol!
See you later.

Paul I think I've figured out the PLE - think it stands for Personel Learning Experience. It would make sense with the presentation. But I'm sure Dave will confirm this for us.
Just started my podcast - it's quite weird. Think I need to produce a script so I don't keep laughing.
Speak to you soon.

Hi Karen
This first podcast took me one attempt, I did do a script beforehand. However at the end when I was asking for feedback I made some mistakes, so I deleted the end bit and recorded a second bit and then spliced it together, I was impressed on how easy it was.
I also found in the middle some long gaps and some fumbled words, so I used the cutter to delete parts, was impressed on how it wasn't noticable.
Thanks for you comments Karen, yes I also agree in parts you could hear me breathing or sighing more like, working on that with my headset. See you Wed
Paul
Like you I watched this same presentation and although it was good, I thought there were problems with the way it seem to meld into one.

Hello Paul
This is a great looking site, I always think they can look quite boring. I love this particular layout and even the comments box opening in its own window is miles better.
Well now I know who to come to when in a tight spot! You really know what you're doing.

I've jsut listened to your podcast. Interesting comments. My only comment is that you get a 'pp'echo on some word.
Happy podcasting in the future
Barbara
